My background spans nonprofit executive leadership, fundraising and institutional advancement, and strategy consulting. I've been there myself as both a nonprofit executive and board member. I bring a blend of human and strategic insight to the table, grounded in the belief that real impact starts from the inside out.
why thunder hill advisors?
I created Thunder Hill Advisors because I know how hard the work of leading social change organizations can be.
It's encompassing — collaborating with your board, managing staff, raising funds, hitting metrics, dreaming up new programs — all while often earning less than you could in other professions. It's kind of wild, honestly. But you do it because it strengthens our community and because it matters to you.
That's where I lean in: giving leaders someone in their corner who has been there, and provides space to reflect and tools to lead well.
Thunder Hill Advisors takes its name from a place in the North Carolina mountains that runs deep in my family's history — a place where I find inspiration, rest, and renewal. It felt like the right name for a practice built on helping leaders find their own steady ground.
